The best kind of shuffling…

…is the kind that raises money for charity, of course!

This Saturday, some of the JDCC team and I went to support Ottawa’s Santa Shuffle.  Some of us were running and fundraising, and others were volunteering with race kit stuffing and pick-up, but we all had an amazing time.  It was such a fun event, and a lot smaller than most of the 5ks in Ottawa – if you’re used to the Race Weekend crowds, I strongly suggest trying out one of the many smaller races Ottawa has to offer!

My friend Ben came in second overall, and the rest of us were all pretty please with our slightly slower, but still impressive times!  I ran the 5k in 25:58, which is a good benchmark to begin my training for the Race Weekend in May and the Undie Run over the summer!  My latest running goal is to complete the Race Weekend 10K in under 50 minutes.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
